Seed Firming Wheel

SEED FIRMING WHEEL
1. Ensure all components are free of foreign materials
such as dirt, straw or fertilizer.
2. Remove lock nut (5), spacers (1) and seed firming
wheel (6) from firming wheel arm (7).
3. Inspect firming wheel bearing (6) to ensure it rotates
freely. Replace the wheel assembly if necessary.
4. Remove roll pin (1) and washer from seed firming
wheel arm (4) and slide arm out of main casting.
5. Inspect bushings in main casting and seed firming
wheel arm shaft (4) for wear. Replace if necessary.
6. Assemble seed firming wheel arm (4) to main casting
using washer (2) and roll pin (1).
7. Assembly seed firming wheel assembly to arm (4) and
torque lock nut (5) to 203 N-m (150 lbf-ft).
