ADJUSTMENTS
ADJUSTING DISC ANGLE
The angle of the marking disc can be adjusted to be more
or less aggressive depending on the field condition.
Harder ground or thicker stubble may require a greater
angle to make the mark more visible.
To adjust the disc angle:
1. Loosen the front 5/8" bolt (1) and remove the back
bolt (2).
2. Rotate the guard and disc (3) to the desired angle.
3. Replace and re-tighten the bolts.
NOTE: The front bolt should be located in the second
hole from the end of the extension arm to
rotate properly.
NOTE: The marker disc should not be positioned
inward or parallel to the seed tool centerline.
BREAKAWAY ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the endmarker breakaway so the endmarker will
operate without detaching, but will breakaway when an
obstacle is encountered.
1. Adjust the eyebolts (1) so that the endmarker returns
to rest by itself. Normally this adjustment is sufficient.
If more adjustment is necessary:
2. Adjust the breakaway adjustor bolt (2) to increase the
angle between the two breakaway links.
NOTE: Small adjustments on the breakaway adjuster
bolt will have a large effect on breakaway
force. Make small adjustments and test.
Readjust as required.
