Selecttheresistancethermometertypeused:Pt100,Pt1000orNi500etc.The
numericalvaluesfortheplatinumandnickelthermometerscorrespondtotheirres-
istanceat0°C.
YSI400isaspecialNTCresistormainlyusedinthemedicalfield(temperature
range-80to250°C,resistanceof1660...6400Ω).
Measuring range
Selectthemeasurementrangebeingused.Dependingonthesensorversiononly
alimitedrangemaybepermissible.Refertothesensor'stechnicaldata.The
defaultisalwaysthesensor'smaximumpossiblemeasuringrange.Thechannel
receivesthestatusMeasurementrangeoverrun/underrun’formeasurementsnot
withintherange.Channelstatusvaluesareavailableinstatusmonitoring.

run"whennotwithintherange.Channelstatusvaluesareavailableinstatus
monitoring.
Connection
Indicateherehowthesensorhasbeenconnected(thediagramdisplaystheselec-
tedwiring):
2 Wire:Thesensorisconnectedwithonlytwowires.Thisisrecommendedonly
forveryshortlinesandhighimpedancesensorsotherwisetheresultingvoltage
dropacrossthecircuitscanleadtomeasurementerrors.Alternatively,asensor
canbeusedwiththreeconnections,wheremeasurementtakesplacewithoutline
compensation.
