14 Configuration of the FACP 8000C / M with
customer data editor
The control panel configuration of the FACP 8000C / M is programmed with customer data editor
8000C / M in the customer data of the fire alarm control panel.
The programmed control panel configuration must match the actual configuration of the control
panel, i.e. number and slot of extension cards and micro modules. With control panels that have
been installed and programmed, the control panel configuration may be retrieved from the
customer data memory of the fire alarm control panel for service purposes using the service PC
and displayed on the PC screen.
It is also possible to print out fire alarm control panel programming on a printer. Using the
customer data editor, you may employ a filter function to select whether to print all or only specific
data, such as the control panel configuration or the data record for a specific analog loop.

When connecting the service PC, the cover contact must be open to ensure that
connection of the PC will be detected by the FACP.

It is highly recommended to save all data on the harddisk of your PC. In case of a data loss
in the panel it is possible to restore the programmed configuration from the PC.

For the access to the customer data memory you must have the identical or higher
Software Release of the Customer data editor as used by the panel configuration.
