7 Overview
In full configuration, the FACP 8000C / M will accommodate up to two micro modules in any
configuration (also refer to Section on
micro modules
). One micro module slot is located on the
basis card of the 8000C / M FACP. A second micro module slot may be added by inserting the
appropriate peripheral or extension module.
Individually adaptable extension variants are possible with the freely selectable extension to the
FACP 8000C / M. The Field device modules required in order to construct an individual central unit
in line with the relevant standards. The connections for the fire service control panel, the
transmission unit and the three freely programmable group relays are integrated on the Field
device module. If several fire alarm central units are connected together in the essernet
®
, the fire
service control panel can be connected to one of the other fire alarm central units.

By installing a Field device module or extension module, the
FACP 8000C
can be expanded to a
compact, single-loop panel with an essernet
®
connection or a non-network, single panel with two
analog loops. With the installation of two analog ring modules, the expansion of an inexpensive
fire alarm control panel with up to 254 bus subscribers, e.g. fire alarm or esserbus
®
transponders
and a total of 254 analog detector zones is possible.

With
FACP 8000M
, as well as the above functions, expansion to a high-performance system with
7 esserbus
®
or 4 esserbus
®
-PLus loops is possible. This configuration can be made compatible,
almost without limitations, to the demands of individual sites with the use of use of bus devices
such as esserbus
®
transponders. Up to 32 esserbus
®
transponders can be configured in a single
group on an analog loop.
