The newest generation of the Vivid™ 4 (BT03) ultrasound unit is based on the Vivid 3 (BT01 and BT02)
ultrasound unit, and therefore shares much of the same hardware. However, even though much of the
hardware is the same, the Vivid 3 cannot be upgraded to Vivid™ 4, or vice-versa. The Vivid™ 4
ultrasound unit provides advanced features, in a compact and user-friendly tool.
1-1-6 Purpose of Operator Manual(s)
The Vivid™ 4 User Guide and Operator Manual(s) should be fully read and understood before operating the
Vivid™ 4 system, and also kept near the unit for quick reference.
