8-38 Section 8-4 - Front End Parts Replacement
4.) Turn the FE Board over, then remove the brackets that secure the TR4 boards in place as shown
in Figure 8-33 below.
5.) Carefully pull upwards and gently remove the suspected faulty TR4 board.
8-4-2-4 TR4 Boards Installation Procedure
1.) Carefully insert the new TR4 board in position on the FE Board, making sure it is plugged firmly in
place.
2.) Return the bracket (previously removed) that secures the TR4 boards to its original location above
the TR4 boards.
3.) Return and tighten the four screws (two on each side) to fasten the bracket in position and secure
the TR4 boards to the Front board main plate - refer to Figure 8-32 on page 8-37.
4.) Carefully return the FE Board to its original position in the FE crate, as described in the Front End
Boards Installation Procedure on page 8 - 36.
NOTE: When you insert a Front End Board into the crate, ensure that the probe connector's metal
frame slides into its tracks.
