WiFi Network Profile is configured, the IP Phone can be forced to search for available APs, and
the current configuration can be viewed.
5.3.1 Profile
Profile configures the settings for the WiFi Module interface including SSID (Service Set
Identification), security and security keys.
5.3.1.1 SSID
An SSID, is the name used to identify a particular WiFi (IEEE 802.11) network. The SSID can
be up to 32 characters.
To set the SSID value
Press the Settings (
) button. If the LCD Menu is locked, use the unlock procedure.

Press the
digit, or move the cursor to 1.Network Configuration using the [Next]-
[Previous] softkeys and press the [OK] softkey.
Press the
digit, or move the cursor to 2.WIFI Configuration using [Next]-[Previous]
softkeys and press the [OK] softkey.
Press the
digit, or move the cursor to 1.Profile using [Next]-[Previous] softkeys and
press the [OK] softkey.
Press the
digit, or move the cursor to 1.SSID using [Next]-[Previous] softkeys and
press the [OK] softkey.
Input the SSID using the dial pad and press the
[OK] softkey to save your entry. The SSID can be
up to 32 characters.
Move to another parameter with the navigation
buttons and continue the session or press the Settings (
) button to exit the
configuration session.
Changing the SSID requires a reboot of the IP phone; when you exit the LCD
Configuration Menu, you will receive a reboot notice. The IP phone must reboot to
utilize the new values entered.
To enter alphanumeric characters select the [Mode] softkey. Refer to Appendix E
for
the character mapping of dial pad digits.
5.3.1.2 Security Mode
The WiFi standards (IEEE 802.11) provide several alternate security modes including WEP
(Wired Equivalent Privacy) and WPA-PSK (WiFi Protected Access-Pre-Shared Key). Under
Security Mode selections available are:
None
WEP64, Wired Equivalent Privacy, 64 bit
WEP128, Wired Equivalent Privacy, 128 bit
WPA-PSK,
