4.5 Dial Plan
The IP Phone incorporates a Dial Plan, which monitors the user-dialed digits for patterns
matching the dial plan number. If a match occurs, the phone modifies the digits and processes
the call using instructions in the dial plan. Either a Routing Table or a Digit Map Table defines
the dial plan.
4.5.1 Routing Table

In the Routing Table up to fifty (50) dial plan numbers may be defined. Each table entry
includes instructions for modifying the dialed number. Specific entries for the Routing Table are:
- Number
is the digit pattern to match with the user-dialed digits.
- TRNC
defines the number of digits to delete, truncate, from the dialed number.
- Pre
defines digits to insert in the front of the truncated number.
- Post
defines the digits to insert at the end of the truncated number.
