To cancel a job
To cancel a job in progress, click Cancel job. You are asked to confirm that you wish to cancel the
job.
If a job is canceled during the copy, export or import phase, this cancels the transfer of data.
NOTE:
There are three phases to an export job: copy, an optional verify and subsequent removal of cartridge
data from the HP D2D Backup System. If the job is cancelled during the copy process, an error will
be reported and the data will remain on the HP D2D Backup System. If it is cancelled during the verify
process, the data will be left intact on the physical tape and the data will still be removed from the
HP D2D Backup System.
If an error occurs
Errors may occur if there is a tape read/write media problem, if there is not enough capacity on the
physical cartridge or if there is a verify error. Errors may also occur if the backup application accesses
the cartridge that is being exported/imported or copied.
Errors are reported in the Job Status column on this page.
IMPORTANT:
If an error occurs during export or copy, you do not lose any data. The original data remains unaltered
in its original location on the HP D2D Backup System.
