If more than two disks fail and the online spare disk has been used you will lose all data on the HP
D2D Backup System and the message on the Summary page warns that the RAID system has failed
catastrophically. The RAID is not recoverable.

The device operating system is not stored on any of the disks, so the HP D2D Backup System is still
usable after replacing the failed disks. Use the Web Management Interface to help you identify the
disks that have failed.
