l In a single homing scenario, an ONU is connected to one OLT. The OLT provides two
passive optical network (PON) ports. An ONU provides two PON ports for upstream
transmission, and the backbone fiber, optical splitter, and distribution fiber are configured
for redundancy backup. In this scenario, PON type C single-homing protection can be
configured to ensure service reliability.
