In addition to the operating system software, TCP/IP and Internet tool software
(for example, a browser and email application) must be installed on the PC. The
user must have an account with an Internet service provider (ISP), who should
provide the following information to the user:
■ Domain name server (DNS)
■ Account name and password
■ Type of password authentication protocol used
