Counterweight pins will not extend (engage).
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Set-up controller switch or wiring failure; Solenoid valve failure;
Cylinder failure; Mechanical problem.
CHECKS
Check for 12 volts at remote controller switch (wire #56B for upper counterweight
and wire #56C for lower counterweight) while toggling switch.
No Voltage
Replace or repair switch or wiring.
Is air at counterweight extend cylinder valve port
when engagement is selected?
Yes
No
Replace problem
counterweight valve.
Yes
No
Check counterweight pins for binding or seizure.
Repair or replace problem cylinder.
Is air at counterweight retract cylinder valve port when
engagement is selected?
Yes
No
Replace problem
counterweight valve.
Repair as required.
