Acquisition
Lynx II DSA User's Manual – 7096089 97
Start & Stop
This functionality operates on the TTL-pulse edge. If the acquisition has been armed,
the edge (positive edge for Positive polarity, or negative edge for Negative polarity) of
the first TTL pulse will enable the storage of data. Once enabled, the edge (positive
edge for Positive polarity, or negative edge for Negative polarity) of the second TTL
pulse will disable the storage of data and terminate the acquisition. Stop command or
preset condition will also terminate the acquisition. Subsequent pulses on the rear panel
connector once the acquisition has been terminated will have no effect.
Suspend
This functionality operates on the TTL level. If the acquisition has been armed, a TTL-
High (for Positive polarity) or TTL-Low (for Negative polarity) will enable the storage
of data. Once enabled a TTL-Low (for Positive polarity) or TTL-High for (Negative
polarity) will disable the storage of data. As long as the acquisition remains armed, data
storage will depend on the TTL level as described. Stop command or preset condition
will terminate acquisition; once terminated, TTL-level changes on the rear panel
connector will have no effect.
Control Polarity
When External Start/Stop control is enabled, the Polarity selection selects the rising/falling
edge when the pulse edge is expected, or TTL-High/Low when TTL-Level is expected.
Refer to the individual settings above for details.
MCS Mode (Input 2)
Input 2 supports only MCS mode. When this acquisition mode is selected a new group of
tabs is shown in the window. The General tab is shown.
