Lynx II DSA User's Manual – 7096089 19
±200 V
±200 V dc output (range is –200 to +200 V)
All HVPS outputs are current limited and short-circuit protected.
CAUTION:
Incorrect connection and/or control settings of the HVPS for
your Detector can damage your Detector.
The High Voltage Outputs may be subject to the status and settings for a High Voltage
Inhibit signal for a preamplifier. These protective features might be defeated if the Inhibit
Signal input is improperly connected or configured.
ENERGY
Accepts energy signals from a detector/preamplifier; polarity is software selectable.
HV INH
High Voltage Inhibit signal input. Accepts the preamplifier's Inhibit signal to shut down
the HVPS if the detector is above its safe operating temperature; the polarity of this input
is software selectable.
TRP INH
Accepts inhibit signal from a transistor reset preamp; its function depends on the selected
mode, Automatic or Manual.
MCS
Accepts MCS input signals.
Advanced Panel
The Advanced panel provides the Input/Output connectors to be used for advanced
functions. For the connector's technical data, refer to the Specifications on page 135
Inputs
CHGR RDY
Accepts Sample Changer Ready signals; polarity is software selectable.
GATE – for Coincidence /Anti-coincidence
Coincidence / Anticoincidence signal input; polarity is software selectable.
MCS SS
Accepts external signals to start/stop data acquisition if using MCS mode; two software
selectable modes (one for Start, Stop, or Start & Stop modes; the other for Suspend &
Resume mode).
CHAN ADV
MCS Channel Advance accepts external MCS channel advance signals.
