Information View
The Information View is activated by selecting the Information tab located below the
graphics area of the page. The Information view displays the Acquisition or Calibration
data.
Acquisition
Displays Acquisition Mode, Acquisition Start time, Dead Time, Preset and Elapsed for
the current Input selection. The display updates dynamically during acquisition. Note
that the Dead Time in the Information View updates dynamically based on the signal
input even if the acquisition is not active.
Calibration
Displays the current calibration coefficients in effect used by the spectrum graph to
convert X-Axis values from channel numbers to energy when the graph’s X-Units are
set to Energy. The type of mathematical model for the FWHM coefficients is also
shown.
Note that coefficients can be entered in the Acquisition | Calibrations tab in the
Navigation Panel but a proper energy calibration should be performed using Genie
2000, Apex, or ProSpect when accurate energies are desired for the spectral plot.
Digital Oscilloscope
The Lynx II incorporates electronics with oscilloscope-like capture which allows
examination of the signals reconstructed in time to assist and verify instrument setup,
pole/zero optimization, and manual Reset Preamp Inhibit adjustments.
The digital oscilloscope plot displays the representation of the selected digital signals, up
to eight. Located on the top right corner of the Lynx II Web Client Application is the
option to enable/disable the digital oscilloscope.
