Hardware
The Hardware options in the Navigator Panel provide access to the Lynx II’s MCA
settings categorized according to their functionality. Description of each category follows.
• High Voltage Power Supply – Displays the high voltage power supply settings and
provides user access to adjustments.
• Gain – Displays the current gain settings and provides user access to front-end
adjustments.
• Digital Filter – Displays the current digital filter settings and provides user access
to shaping, PUR, P/Z, and other signal processing adjustments.
• Stabilizer – Displays the current spectrum stabilizer settings and provides user
access to its adjustments.
• Auxiliary Counters – Configures and controls the auxiliary counters.
• External Synchronization – Configures the external synchronization settings.
• Sample Changer – Displays the internal sample changer interface settings.
• Single Channel Analyzers – Displays the Single Channel Analyzer settings and
associated acquisition control.
High Voltage Power Supply Settings
This dialog displays the settings for the high voltage power supply parameters. These
include the Range and Polarity selection, Voltage setting, Inhibit control, and On/Off
status control. The dialog also includes the current high voltage reading measured by the
Lynx II, as well as a Reset control to clear errors and fault conditions.
WARNING:
High voltage direct current (DC) energy can be present on the
High Voltage Power connectors, which can be harmful. Please
use extreme care.
