Figure 51: High Voltage Power Supply Settings
Voltage(V)
The Voltage setting sets the voltage value for the current range. Voltage setting is limited
by the Limit value. Acceptable settings for Voltage range from 0.00 volts up to the limit’s
maximum. When changed, the high voltage output ramps towards its new destination at a
rate of 100 volts/second, updated approximately every 60 milliseconds.
The voltage value can be changed whether the high voltage power supply is On or Off.
Reading(V)
The Reading is a read-only value reported by the Lynx II representing the actual voltage in
volts currently present on the rear panel’s SHV connector. The reading is updated
dynamically every few seconds. The reading is also displayed in the HV field of the front
panel LCD display.
On
This function allows you to turn the HVPS On/Off. When turned On (selected) the high
voltage output will ramp to the current Voltage setting at 100 volts/second updated
approximately every 60 milliseconds, and when turned Off (cleared) will ramp to zero at
the same rate.
The Status & Fault LEDs for HVPS will indicate active when the high voltage power
supply is switched to On, and inactive when the high voltage power supply has been
switched to Off.
