Setting MCS Acquisition Parameters
Select Input 2 from the Acquisition Panel. Then from the Navigator view, select the
Acquisition option and then Acquisition | General tab to set acquisition preset
conditions, Acquisition | Advance tab to set external advance and sweep parameters, or
Acquisition | External Control tab to set external start/stop control parameters.
Setting Hardware Parameters
From the Navigator view, select Hardware to display the Lynx II hardware settings.
These include:
• High Voltage Power Supply for controlling the high voltage settings.
• Gain for controlling front-end parameters.
• Digital Filter for controlling the digital pulse processing.
• Stabilizer for setting spectrum stabilization parameters.
• Auxiliary Counters for controlling the digital-input counters and viewing data.
• External Synchronization for setting external synchronization signal properties
when using MSS, LIST, and TLIST acquisition modes.
• Sample Changer for setting and controlling the sample changer interface
parameters.
• Single Channel Analyzers for controlling the SCA counters over the PHA
spectrum range and viewing data.
Sample Energy Calibration
From the Navigator view, select Acquisition | Calibration to display the Calibration
equation. This option displays the energy and FWHM calibration coefficients only. These
coefficients are used to convert from channel to energy in the spectral plot. Proper
calibration can be performed using Mirion’s software like Genie 2000, Apex, or ProSpect.
