Accessing your Lynx II through the UPnP Name
From the Navigator view, select Maintenance | Network Settings | UPnP. The
Friendly Name will be displayed. If your network supports UPnP messaging, and your
computer has the UPnP option enabled, then you can access the Lynx II anywhere on the
network through its UPnP Friendly Name instead of its IP address.
• The UPnP Friendly Name can be changed to any custom string up to 64
alphanumeric characters. The entry is restricted only to alphanumeric characters and
a dash (-) character.
• Factory-reset value for the UPnP Friendly Name is Lynx-II.
Click the Save button to save all changes.
Setting the Lynx II’s System Time
From the Navigator view, select Maintenance | MCA Information. Press
Synchronize button to push the computer’s timestamp to the Lynx II.
The Delta(s) field shows the difference in seconds between the computer’s timestamp and
Lynx II’s timestamp.
In addition, the local time zone can be selected. Use the drop-down list to select the region
that most closely matches your location. The default time zone is UTC. The time zone is
included with the date and time on the Lynx II LCD display.
Viewing the Firmware and Application Versions
From the Navigator view, select Maintenance | MCA Information to retrieve the
Firmware and FPGA Versions.
Viewing and Clearing Errors and Faults
From the Navigator view, select Maintenance | Diagnostics | Status to retrieve
Errors and Faults. Clear the errors and faults through the Execute button.
Please note that if the error of fault condition persists then the indication will reappear
shortly after clearing it.
Setting Graph Preferences
From the Navigator view, select Preferences | Miscellaneous or Axes or Colors to
change the graphing properties as desired. Changes take effect immediately.
Setting PHA Acquisition Parameters
Select Input 1 from the Acquisition Panel. Then from the Navigator view, select the
Acquisition option and then Acquisition | General to set acquisition preset times,
Acquisition | Coincidence to set coincidence parameters, or Acquisition | External
Control to set external start/stop control parameters.
The Acquisition Mode for Input 1 can be set to PHA, DLFC, MSS, LIST, or TLIST
modes.
