PHA SS
External PHA Start/Stop input connector, MCX. TTL compatible, software-selectable
logic polarity for active-high or active-low. Two basic modes are supported, pulse or level,
programmable via software.
• Pulse mode – Requires TTL pulse, width > 50 ns, positive or negative edge-
triggered, software selectable. Requires that the acquisition has been armed through
the Start Acquire command.
− Start – the first pulse received will begin acquisition storage. Subsequent pulses
are ignored.
− Stop – if the acquisition is already active, the first pulse received will stop
acquisition; subsequent pulses are ignored. No action is taken if the acquisition
was off when the first pulse was received.
− Start and Stop – the first pulse received will begin acquisition storage. Second
pulse received will stop the acquisition. Subsequent pulses will be ignored.
• Suspend/Resume mode – Requires TTL level, active high or active low, software
selectable. Requires that the acquisition has been armed through Start command.
Active signal begins or resumes acquisition. Inactive signal suspends acquisition.
Either mode requires that the acquisition has been armed with start-acquire command.
