ICR (Incoming Count Rate)
Incoming Count Rate (ICR) in CPS (Counts per Second).
Deadtime
Deadtime is a good measure of system performance that many users depend on. Note
that the Dead Time updates dynamically based on the signal input even if the
acquisition is not active.
HV (High Voltage) Status
Displays the High Voltage status as:
• “Off +0V” when the HV is off.
• “On XXXX” when the HV has been turned on. Where “XXXX” is the voltage
reading in volts (V).
If the voltage is ramping up to its voltage setting an up arrow with “RAMPING” is
displayed while the voltage is ramping. The up arrow and “RAMPING” is removed
when the voltage setting is reached.
• “Off XXXX” when the HV has been turned off after being at its voltage setting,
Where “XXXX” is the voltage reading in volts (V) as the voltage is returning to
zero.
− A down arrow with “RAMPING” will be displayed until the voltage is nearly
zero.
− The down arrow and “RAMPING” will be removed when the voltage falls to
less than approximately 10% of the 5000 volt range.
• “FAULT” if the HV has a fault. The fault may be due to an actual hardware fault or
if the HV Inhibit has been set.
Date, Time, and Time Zone
These values are displayed in the bottom left corner. The date is displayed above the
time. The time zone is displayed to the right of the time. The Tine Zone can be selected
in the web interface in Maintenance | MCA Information.
The date format is displayed as day-month-year where the month can be “JAN”, “FEB”,
“MAR”, “APR”, “MAY”, “JUN”, “JUL”, “AUG”, “SEPT”, “OCT”, “NOV”, or
“DEC”.
