The front panel LCD screen consists of the following data.
Device Name: LYNX II
The device name is the UPnP FriendlyName.
USB Address
There is no way to detect connectivity so the address value will always be displayed.
IP Address
The IP address of the connected network or “unknown” if the Ethernet cable is not
connected to the device. If there is a connection to a network or a computer and a DNS
server does not provide an address, the default address will be a link-local address of
169.254.xxx.xxx.
MAC Address
This field is necessary since MAC addresses are unique but IP addresses are not.
Corporate IT professionals need this information while adding Ethernet devices to a
network.
MCA Counting Status
The value displays the MCA’s counting status as:
• “Acquiring”, if the acquisition is active.
• “Idle”, if the acquisition is not active.
• “Waiting”, if in External Start and waiting for Start or for the Changer Ready signal
to become Ready.
• “FAULT”, if counting status has a fault.
• “Error”, an error message is displayed.
Acquisition Mode
The mode displays the MCA’s acquisition mode as:
• “PHA”, if the state is PHA,
• “DLFC”, if the state is Dual Loss Free Counting,
• “MCS” Note this is displayed when only the MCS input is acquiring data.
• Simultaneous PHS/MCS, “PHA MCS”. Note this is displayed when both MCS and
PHA inputs are acquiring data.
• “MSS”, if the state is MSS.
• “LIST”, if the state is List.
• “TLIST”, if the state is Timestamped List.
