1. The contents display is placed in screens using CX-Designer.
2. Select the Display a string checkbox on the General Tab Page when making the contents display
property settings.
3. Set the No. of Contents and Address for switching Contents on the Edit Contents toolbar in
CX-Designer.

Enter the contents number to be edited in the input field for Contents No. on the Edit Contents tool
bar.
5. Select Contents Display. Press the Space Key and enter the string to be displayed.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the number of contents to be set.

Using Command Buttons with Key Button Function
1. Select function - Key button on the Command Button General Tab Page.
2. Select the destination.
Indirect Specification of Target Strings
Specify the address where the numeral or string data is stored and the number of transmit words. Se-
lect Transmit type - Indirect specification of string and specify the address and number of words.

If more characters than are set for the character string display and input object are transferred, only the
set number of characters will actually be transferred. For example, if 10 characters are transferred to a
character string and display object to which only 3 characters are set, only three characters will actu-
ally be transferred.
Transferring Label Strings Set to Command Buttons
Select Transmit type - Label string.
Transferring Specified Strings
Select Transmit type - specified string and set the string to be transferred.
Transfers string “abcde”.
Changing Label Strings by Switching Labels
Multiple strings can be set to functional object labels using CX-Designer.
The functional object label display can then be changed by switching the labels.
1. Set the number of label switches and the name of each corresponding label in the Project Property
Window’s Switch Label Tab Page. (Select PT - Project Properties and click the Switch Label
Tab. )
