1
1. Lubricate connecting rod bore with clean engine oil.
IMPORTANT: Do not use power tools to install
bushing.
2. Assemble JDE98-10 Bushing Remover/Installer (B)
with JDE98-9 Pilot (C). Install new bushing (E) onto
driver. Lubricate OD of bushing. Install and lubricate
STD36104 Forcing Screw threads (D).
3. Assemble JDE98-6 Pilot (F) onto driver.
4. Engage forcing screw heads with threads in JDE98-8
Cup (A) and install new bushing.
IMPORTANT: Boring the connecting rod bushing
should be done ONLY by experienced
personnel on equipment capable of
maintaining bushing finish
specification.
5. Precision bore new bushing to specification to obtain
pin-to-bushing clearance. Remove all debris from
boring operation.
