Removing Exhaust Manifold
A—Upper Cap Screws
Remove Exhaust Manifold
1. Remove turbocharger (shown removed). (See
REMOVE TURBOCHARGER earlier in this group.)
2. Remove upper cap screws (A) from front and rear
exhaust manifold sections and install guide pins.
3. Remove remaining exhaust manifold-to-cylinder head
cap screws and remove exhaust manifold as an
assembly.
4. Separate three exhaust manifold sections. Remove
exhaust manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets and discard.
