Remove Engine Camshaft
Engine camshaft can be removed with cylinder head
installed or removed from engine.
1. Remove rocker arm assembly. (See REMOVE
ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY in Group 020.)
NOTE: See DFRG4—CAMSHAFT LOCKING TOOL in
Section 05, Group 190 for instructions on how to
fabricate tool.
2. Secure camshaft in bushings with DFRG4 Camshaft
Locking Tool (A). Tighten cap screw and secure
locking tool to head.

3. Remove camshaft position sensor from cylinder head.
