Inspect and Repair Flywheel
1. Inspect the clutch contact face for scoring, overheating
or cracks.
2. Resurface clutch contact face, as necessary, to restore
flatness for proper clutch contact.
3. Replace a defective flywheel.
4. Examine ring gear for worn or broken teeth. If ring gear
is damaged, replace gear. (See REPLACE FLYWHEEL
RING GEAR later in this group.)
