Check for Exhaust Leaks
A—Exhaust Manifold Gasket B—Exhaust Manifold C—Turbocharger Gasket
Exhaust leaks, upstream of the turbocharger will cause
the turbocharger turbine to rotate at reduced speed
resulting in low boost pressure, low power, and
excessive black smoke.
Inspect the exhaust manifold gasket, the exhaust
manifold, and turbocharger gasket for damage and any
signs of leakage. Replace components as needed.
