Because ATC and RSC functions share the same dash indicator
lamp, understanding how the ABS and ATC/RSC lamps work is very
important.
앫 If the vehicle is equipped with ATC, but not RSC, when the
ignition is turned to the ON position, the ABS and ATC lamps will
light for approximately three seconds, then both lamps will turn
off simultaneously. Figure 2.6.
앫 If the vehicle is equipped with ATC and RSC, when the ignition
is turned to the ON position, the ABS and ATC/RSC will both
light . . . but the ATC/RSC lamp will stay lit briefly after the ABS
lamp goes out.

NOTE: Active mode means RSC is installed and will become active
if it is needed.
TOOLBOX™ Software can also be used to determine if RSC is
active. Refer to Section 3.
RSC Components
An additional solenoid valve is needed for RSC. The RSC valve
controls the trailer service brakes during an RSC event. The RSC
valve is a stand-alone valve. The valve is not part of an ABS valve
package. Figure 2.7.
