8.5.7.3 Safe Speed Monitor restart
Restart after pulse suppression for p9309/p9509 = 0
If the drive pulses have been suppressed using OFF1/OFF2/STO, the following steps must
be carried out for a restart:
1st scenario:
● State after power-on:
– SSM selected,
– STO selected,
– Pulse suppression active
● Deselect STO.
● A drive enable via a positive edge at OFF1 must occur within 5 seconds after deselection
of the STO, otherwise the drive will drop back into the STO state.
2nd scenario
● Situation:
– SSM selected
– Motor turning
– OFF1 triggered, pulses are suppressed
● Select STO
● Deselect STO.
STO activated internally via pulse suppression: This activation must be undone by
selection/deselection.
● A drive enable via a positive edge at OFF1 must occur within 5 seconds after deselection
of the STO, otherwise the drive will drop back into the STO state.
