Fronius
32.3 FroniusSymo/Galvo/ECOSeries
For the Symo/Galvo/ECO series, Fronius offers two different inverter types:
•
Symo, Galvo and ECO, as well as the light version of the series.
The instructions for wiring the inverters to the Solar-Log™ are identical to those for Fronius inverters with Com-
Card. Refer to the section on „Fronius with ComCard“ for more information.
General information on the Symo / Galvo series
The standard Symo comes equipped with a data manager that acts as a bus master. The data manager has to be
removed to be able to communicate with the Solar-Log™. Since the Fronius Com Card is already integrated in the
Symo and Galvo models, no additional Com Card is required for network interface.
The Datamanager is not integrated into the Symo Light models.
Note
The Symo / Galvo series is pre-configured for the "Solar.Net" protocol.
► Check the settings if necessary.
Note
With the introduction of Datamanager 2.0, there is the option to set the inverter detection to slave and
then it does not have to be removed.
Note
When connecting a Solar-Log™ with several Fronius inverters via Ethernet, each Fronius inverters has
to have its own Datamanager and its own IP address.
General information on the ECO series:
This device is equipped with the Datamanager 2.0 by default.
The Datamanager has to be set as a slave in order for communication with the Solar-Log™ to work. The ComCard
connection is a fixed component of the inverter so an additional ComCard is not required. The Light version does
not come with this Datamanager so no settings need to be adjusted here.
