Overview
•
Integrated interface.
•
Connect using network cable (patch cable) and Ethernet router or switch.
•
The communication address cannot be assigned (only via DHCP).*
•
Installation steps:
• Switch off the battery system and Solar-Log™.
• Connect the battery system to the Solar-Log™.
• Connect the inverters to the Solar-Log™ according to the inverter instructions.
• Assign the inverter‘s communication address according to the inverter instructions (if required).
Connect the battery system to the Solar-Log™.
The wiring is done using a
•
network cable (patch cable/crossover cable) and the
•
Ethernet router or switch.
Connect the inverters to each other.
The inverters are connected together according to the inverter instructions.
*Dynamic IP address (DHCP) for detection and communication:
The sonnen Eco 8.0 is always set to DHCP by default and that is why it is not possible to assign a static IP address
to the sonnen Eco 8.0. Both devices need to be in the same subnet mask.
Detection via the Solar-Log™ WEB interface
•
For the device detection on the Solar-Log
™
select „sonnen“ in the Network section from the Configuration |
Devices | Definition
menu and then click on Save..
Detection from the Solar-Log 1200
When using the Solar-Log 1200, the detection can also be started from the display.
•
Select „sonnen“ from the „Network“ interface for the detection and then start the detection.
Note
In addition to the battery, a consumption meter and production meter are detected (after detection,
the consumption meter is active and the production meter is deactivated).
This makes it possible to monitor a plant without an inverter connection by activating the production
meter in inverter mode.
