VARTA Battery System
Procedure for IP addresses assignment:
In addition to a static, fixed IP, a dynamic IP address can also be assigned.
Dynamic IP adress:
Both devices, the Solar-Log ™, and the VARTA battery system must be provided automatically to IP address (DHCP).
Static IP adress:
Please select an IP address with the same class C subnet as the Solar-Log™.
For example: The Solar-Log™ has the IP address 192.168.178.49.
The battery system in this case has to have a free IP address in the same range (from 192.168.178.1 to
192.168.178.254).
Procedure: Start according to the battery system‘s instructions.
Detection via the Solar-Log
WEB interface
For the device detection on the Solar-Log
select „VARTA:Industrial“ in the Network section from the Configu-
ration | Devices | Definition
menu.
Also select the proper interfaces for the meters as well as the inverters. Confirm the selection by clicking on
Save.
Detection from the Solar-Log 1200
When using the Solar-Log 1200, the detection can also be started from the display.
Select „VARTA:Industrial“ from the „Network“ interface for the detection.
Also select the proper interfaces for the meters as well as the inverters and then start the detection.
Note
Only one battery system can be connected to a Solar-Log™ device.
Note
If a Varta consumption meter is connected to the battery system, an additional consumption meter
(bi-direction meter) is detected and recorded by the Solar-Log™ when it is detected. (The consumption
meter is active after the detection.)
Note
The Varta Industrial battery system cannot be used with the Solar-Log 50.
