Throttle Cable and Control Lever
Removal and Installation
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)
2. Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.

3. Remove six screws (1) and lift instrument panel (2)
up to access the throttle lever (3).

4. Remove the screws (5) and remove the throttle lever
knob (4).

5. Remove the cable clamp (7) and the wire stop screw
(4).
6. Remove throttle lever through the bottom of the
instrument panel.
7. Repair or replace as necessary.
Installation Notes
• Install the throttle cable and control lever by reversing
the order of removal.
• When replacing a worn or broken throttle cable, route
the same as the old cable.
• Secure using existing cable clamps.
• After replacing, follow the adjustment procedure.
