Radiator/Hydraulic Oil Cooler
Removal and Installation

WARNING
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)
2. Stop the engine and remove the ignition key. Allow
the engine to cool completely.
3. Raise the hood.
4. Drain cooling system, 8 qts (7.6 L).
5. Drain hydraulic system.
NOTE
Label all hoses before removing to ensure correct
installation.
6. Loosen hose clamp (2) and disconnect hose (3) from
the radiator/hydraulic cooler (1).
7. Loosen hose clamp (5) and disconnect hose (4) from
the radiator/hydraulic cooler (1).
8. Disconnect overflow hose (6) from overflow reserve
tank (7).
9. Lift reserve tank (7) from the stay bracket and set
aside.

Never remove the radiator cap when the coolant
is hot. The engine must be shut down and cooled
before the radiator cap is removed. Very hot
coolant will be sprayed from the radiator if the
cap is loosened before the engine has cooled.
Serious personal injury can occur.
