Amethyst III DTV Smart Switch 199
User Manual
FEC FEC is supported by the card AMETH3-HW-GIGE-4-FEC.
FEC correction and FEC generation are exclusive features:
once configured to manage FEC correction, then FEC
generation is not allowed (and reversely).
FEC correction (on input streams)
SMPTE 2022-1-2007
SMPTE 2022-2-2007
Up to 16 x FEC correction
FEC 1D and 2D support
4x4 to 10x10 matrices support
Linear interleaving mode (L=L’)
Up to 1400 Mbps in the unit (TS + FEC)
Up to 700 Mbps per GigE port (TS + FEC)
FEC generation (on output streams)
SMPTE 2022-1-2007
SMPTE 2022-2-2007
Up to 16 x FEC generation
FEC 1D and 2D support
4x4 to 10x10 matrices support
Linear interleaving mode on 2D matrices (L=L’)
Up to 900 Mbps in the unit (TS + FEC)
Up to 700 Mbps per GigE port (TS + FEC)
Notes
SMPTE 2022-3-2007 not supported. FEC on variable
bit rate stream or variable number of TS per IP
datagram not supported.
FEC generation requires incoming transport streams
encapsulated over RTP.
Reducing the number of TS packets per IP datagram
reduces the FEC correction capacities.
