8.8.11 Command: UHF Continuous Presence Sensing Mode
In Continuous Presence Sensing Mode, a user-defined command (Write, Read, Inventory) can
be sent to the UHF reader and saved there. In Continuous Presence Sensing Mode, the readers
are automatically switched on as soon as a tag is located in the detection range. The duration of
the scan interval and the on time can be adjusted in the settings of the UHF reader. The com-
mand is continuously executed until the user terminates Continuous Presence Sensing Mode
by executing a reset command.
NOTE
The reset command resets all read data.
Readers in Continuous Presence mode send all command related data to the interface. The
data is stored in the FIFO memory of the interface and can be queried by the controller via the
Read buffer (Cont. mode) command. In Continuous Presence Sensing Mode the Tag in detec-
tion range signal is not permanently updated.
