11-4 Troubleshooting
The instrument is not in Operate. In the MassLynx Tune window, click
.
Tip: When in Operate, the instru-
ment status icon is green.
MCP is set to zero. Set-up the MCP gain.

The isolation valve is closed. Ensure the isolation valve is open by
checking the Tune window Engi-
neer tab.

Ensure the pneumatic gas is flowing
and set correctly.

The filament is broken. Check the filament current read-
back, if it is incorrect then replace
the filament.

fitted for the selected ion mode.
Replace the inner source with the
correct one for the selected ion mode.

The Tune window parameters are
incorrectly set.
Ensure that the normal tuning
parameters are set and, where
appropriate, readback values are
acceptable.
No sample is present. Ensure that sample is loaded
correctly in the autosampler, refer-
ence reservoir, or probe.
