Setting up an MS Method 4-5
Starting a multiple-sample data acquisition
The MassLynx window includes a sample list that defines how to acquire
multiple samples on the instrument. The samples can be used together to
perform a quantitative analysis. A spreadsheet-style editor creates the list of
samples which can tailored to suit individual requirements.
See also: The MassLynx online help for information about using the sample
list to analyze multiple-samples.
Setting up an MS Method
An MS method is a group of settings defining the scans the mass spectrometer
should perform. Once an MS method is saved, these settings can be applied
when acquiring data from samples.
In the MS Method editor set up an experiment function list. The functions
scan the instrument during an acquisition. You can set up scanning
techniques to run either sequentially during an acquisition.
In the MassLynx window, click the MS method to open the Experiment Setup
window MS Method editor.
Close Closes the dialog box.
Tip: MassLynx does not retain the current settings
when the dialog box is next opened.
