9. Fit the inner source.

10. Push the column back to the position marked in step 7 so that it lies
within the inner source.
11. Tighten the 1/16-inch retaining nut.
The system is now ready to pump-down (evacuate).

Configuring the GC and autosampler
The GC and autosampler must be configured before using the GCT Premier.
Configuration is carried out using the MassLynx Inlet Configuration Wizard.

Removing the GC interface
To remove the GC interface:
1. On the MassLynx Tune Window, click Vacuum > Vent Source.
2. Wait for the Vacuum Status LED to display steady yellow.
3. Wait for the GC interface to cool.
4. Loosen the 1/16-inch column retaining nut on the GC interface inside
the GC oven.
5. Withdraw the GC column from the GC interface.
6. Turn the black knobs on the side of the GC plinth.
Result: The two GC plinth stops are released.
7. Push the GC away from the GC interface.
8. Disconnect the GC interface heater connection.
Warning: To avoid burn injuries, take care when working with the GC
interface and GC oven. They operate at high temperatures.
