Obtaining an ion beam
To obtain an ion beam:
1. In the MassLynx Tune window, click .
2. In the TDC Settings dialog box, clear the Low Mass Cut-Off check box.

3. In the Tune window, click .
Confirm that the instrument status indicator displays green.
4. In the EI Tune tab, type the recommended starting parameter values
shown in the table below, or specify previously saved values.
5. Click View > Peak Display 2.
Result: The second peak display appears.
6. Click .
