Loading the FD inner source probe with sample
Sample concentration in the range of 500 ng/µL to 20 µg/µL should be used.
Higher concentrations of sample may sputter off the emitter, causing a
discontinuous spectrum and, sometimes, arcing, which can damage the
emitter. The sample should be dissolved in a volatile solvent to minimize
evaporation time.
