way whether you are using the DCI, DI, or FI/FD probe. The only difference is
the units and values that are used in the Probe Control dialog box.

Probe Control Ramp tab
Table titled “Probe Control Ramp tab:” on page 9-31 shows the following probe
ramp parameters. This ramp will hold the emitter at 0mA for the first minute.
The current is then ramped at 5 mA/min in order to desorb the sample. When
it reaches 100mA it will hold at that value for 2 minutes then drop to zero.
This produces a total acquisition time of 23 minutes. Generally in FD it is
desirable to ramp the emitter current slowly.
