Configuring the TDC settings
Before operating the instrument, you must determine that all of the ions are
being counted. multi channel plate (MCP) gain must be optimized and
time-to-digital converter (TDC) settings must be correct. Otherwise, the mass
accuracy will be compromised.
To set up the TDC to count all the ions:
1. In the Tune window, click Settings > TDC Settings.

Parameter Description
Data Format Lists data formats on the Data Format
drop-down list.

Scan Time (s) Specifies the duration of each scan.
Inter Scan Delay (s) Specifies the time between the scans. The
minimum value is 0.01s (10 ms).
Start Mass Specifies the starting mass.
End Mass Specifies the ending mass
