Gas inlet connections
CI Gas
1/8-inch inlet for coupling to CI reagent gas cylinder. Set the CI gas pressure
to 10 psi.
Air
Compressed air inlet for operation of the pneumatic isolation valve and
backing line isolation valves. Set the air pressure to 80 psi.
Analyser PVPK
Compressed air connection to the analyzer backing isolation PVPK valve
located on the head of the rotary pump.
See also: Figure titled “GCT Premier system vacuum connections:” on
page D-4.
N
2
Vent
This is an optional connection used to connect a dry inert gas to the
instrument. The gas fills the analyzer when the instrument is vented. This
prevents water vapor entering the analyzer housing and speeds up
subsequent pump down times. Set the inert gas pressure to 5 to 100 psi.
If a suitable dry inert gas is connected to the air inlet connection, this can also
be used to supply the gas to the N
2
inlet connection.
See also: Detector maintenance on page 10-50.
If an inert gas is not connected, the analyzer housing vents to air.
Caution: To avoid damage to the instrument, do not exceed a pressure
of 30 psi on this connection.
Caution: To avoid damage to the instrument, do not exceed a pressure
of 100 psi on this connection.
Caution: To avoid damage to the instrument, do not exceed a pressure
of 100 psi on this connection.
