Controls and connectors on instruments’ rear panel
Rear panel:
Warning: All electrical connections to the rear panel must be separated
from hazardous voltages by double or reinforced insulation [safety
extra low voltage (SELV)].
Examples of circuits that are typically SELV include contact closure
inputs and outputs for auto-samplers and, FID, TDC, ECD, PID for
GC/MS products.
Gas connections Analog inputs, contact closure inputs,
and contact closure "event out " outputs
SIP, fiber-optic and power inlet connections
Pirani, TDC, and analyzer backing valve connections
