Pumping/venting the instrument
To pump the instrument:
1. open the reference reservoir pump value.
2. In the MassLynx Tune window, click Vacuum > Pump Instrument.
The analyzer begins to pump (evacuate). When the pneumatic valve
opens, you should hear a small hiss.
When the analyzer is pumped down, the source begins to pump down.

Result: The instrument is now pumped.
3. Confirm the Vacuum LED shows green.
Note: You must condition the detector before using the instrument.

To vent the instrument:
1. In the MassLynx Tune window, click Vacuum > Vent Instrument.
The source and analyzer begin to vent.
2. Wait for the Vacuum LED to show red.

Result: The instrument is now vented.
Pumping/venting the source
To pump the source:
1. Open the reference reservoir pump valve.
2. In the MassLynx Tune window, click Vacuum > Pump Source.
When the pneumatic valve opens, you should hear a small hiss. Confirm
the Vacuum LED shows green.
3. When the Source Turbo value in the Turbo Readbacks frame reaches 80
or more, close the reference reservoir.
Result: The source is now pumped.
