B-44 The MassLynx Tune window
z-focus The voltage applied to the z-focus.
For high-sensitivity work the voltage
is set to approximately 42. For
low-sensitivity work the voltage is set
to approximately 250.
z-lens steering Steers the beam up and down using
the DRE lenses. The specified value is
normally set to 0.
Gain Drop Monitoring When the parameter is selected, accu-
rate mass results are produced if the
gain of the detector has been reduced
by a large signal.
See also: Gain drop monitoring on
page G-13.
Multiple Peak Stitching When an intense ion signal strikes the
detector the neighboring isotopes can
be adversely affected.
See also: Multiple peak stitching on
page G-12.
Pre Window A mass pre-window to the large ion
signal where data is stitched in from
the attenuated data.
Post Window A mass post-window to the large ion
signal where data is stitched in from
the attenuated data.
Mass Five masses across the mass range at
which the DRE magnification factor
has been calculated
Magnification factor The corresponding magnification
factor at each of the specified mass.

page 4-15.
